Your personal timeline: dated, structured, and entirely under your control.
spectacled Journals is built for the habit of writing something down regularly: a daily log, a reading journal, a training diary, a project log. Every entry is timestamped and stored using VJOURNAL, the part of the iCalendar standard designed specifically for journal-style entries – so your entries aren’t locked into a proprietary format that only spectacled can read.

What you can do
Write dated entries with as much or as little structure as you like. Browse your history as a timeline, so you can scroll back through weeks, months, or years of entries. Search across everything you’ve written. Sync automatically across every device you use spectacled on, because your entries live on your CalDAV server, not inside the app.
Where your data lives
Journals doesn’t ask you to create a spectacled account. It asks for the CalDAV server you already use, or helps you find one. Your entries stay in a standard, well-documented format, so they remain readable by any other iCalendar/VJOURNAL-aware tool – today, and if you ever decide to move away from spectacled.
