3. Description of the Service

spectacled is a family of applications for managing notes, journals, and tasks using open standards such as CalDAV and iCalendar.

The applications are designed to connect to user-selected CalDAV servers, including self-hosted infrastructure and third-party providers.

Certain features, particularly in the web application, may rely on technical intermediary infrastructure necessary for browser-based communication.

4. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining backups where appropriate
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Reviewing the privacy and security practices of third-party providers they choose to use

Techbee e.U. is not responsible for data loss caused by server failures, third-party providers, user misconfiguration, or unsupported infrastructure.

5. Third-Party Services

spectacled may interact with third-party services chosen by the user, including CalDAV providers, hosting services, application stores, and open source platforms.

The use of such services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies provided by the respective third parties.
